Job Description:

The Town of Drumheller is seeking an individual to fill the position of Temporary Full Time Office Assistant, Licensing/Reception.

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, responsible for front counter cashier and receptionist duties, primary telephone contact with the public and provision of information and referral services. Responsible for administering the business and animal licensing function and business tax and assessment rolls.  Acts as the backup to the Office Assistant, Safety Codes. This is a term position of approximately 3 – 6 months.

Preferred Skills:

Hours per week:  37.5 hours – Monday to Friday

Pay Scale:  In accordance with CUPE Local 4604 Collective Agreement

Benefits:  As per the Town’s HR Policy and Collective Bargaining Agreement

Successful candidate must be:

  • Bondable
  • Grade 12 graduate or equivalent
  • One (1) year office experience, preferably in municipal government
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
