Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Automotive Service Technician Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance, providing a valuable foundation for a career as a professional mechanic. The apprentice will work closely with experienced technicians to develop skills in diagnostics, repairs, and customer service, contributing to the efficient operation of our service department.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with automotive repairs and maintenance tasks
• Learn to diagnose vehicle issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform repairs
• Support in the replacement of parts and assembly of vehicle components
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles
• Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures, including heavy lifting when necessary
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair status and recommendations

Requirements

• Prior experience or automotive repair background is preferred but not required
• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with automotive systems
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, and schematics is advantageous
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills
• Excellent customer service skills to assist clients professionally
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or coursework in automotive technology is a plus
