Carpenter Apprentice

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Carpenter Apprentice to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in woodworking, building techniques, and developing skills in the industry. This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while contributing to diverse construction and renovation projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reading construction drawings to support project planning and execution.
• Support skilled carpenters with tasks such as framing, cabinetry, flooring installation, tile laying, siding, decking, small batch roofing, hanging drywall, insulation/vapor barrier, trim work, windows and doors. The list goes on
• Learn to operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively.
• Participate in restoration projects as directed.
• Aid in the installation of cabinets, countertops, doors, windows, and other fixtures.
• Assist with construction painting, caulking, siding application, and general finishing work.
• Support heavy lifting tasks and material handling to ensure project safety and efficiency.
• Follow safety protocols on-site including proper use of tools and equipment.
• Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment throughout all phases of construction.

Experience

• Prior handyman experience or familiarity with construction activities is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
• Basic knowledge of woodworking, hand tools, power tools, and construction techniques is advantageous.
• Candidates with electrical or plumbing experience are encouraged to apply as these skills can be further developed during apprenticeship training.
• Some experience necessary, training will be provided on-site by experienced professionals to develop skills in carpentry, masonry, roofing, siding installation, and more.
