Life Skills Coach

Growing Families Society is a not-for-profit agency in search of a LIFE SKILLS COACH(0.2 FTE) to fill a non-union position.

• Work individually with prenatal and postnatal moms in their home to address specific issues that prevent or impede them from reaching their optimum potential in the area of basic daily life skills
• Working in a team atmosphere with a Registered Nurse
• Passion for working alongside moms to develop and strengthen their day to day living
• Strong practical skills in maintaining a household, developing routines, and meal planning
• Knowledge of community resources and agencies an asset
• Available to work 7 hours a week in the Drumheller area, on Thursdays

Skills Required:

• ‍‍Highly motivated mature individual who has well-developed organization, time management and communication skills, a self starter and requires minimal supervision
• Ability to provide hands on teaching
• Minimum of 5 years experience in managing a household with children
• Experience in advocacy with a special population a benefit
• Health record stating AHS recommended immunizations are up to date at commencement of work
• A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation

This position is grant funded to March 31, 2026 with a possible 4 year grant extension; salary range is based on experience at $24-$25/hr, no benefits. Start date is January 8, 2026.
