Growing Families Society is a not-for-profit agency in search of a LIFE SKILLS COACH(0.2 FTE) to fill a non-union position.

- Provide one-on-one home visitation support to prenatal and postnatal mothers, helping them develop the daily living skills needed to achieve greater independence and well-being.
- A passion to empower and encourage mothers to build confidence and strengthen day-to-day life skills.
- Provide practical guidance in household management, establishing routines, and meal planning.
- Collaborate with a fellow Life Skills Coach in a supportive team environment.
- Available to work 7 hours/week on Wednesdays in Drumheller area.
Qualifications
- Completion of Grade 12 (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Highly motivated, mature, and self-directed individual with excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills requiring minimal supervision.
- Ability to provide hands-on instruction and practical coaching.
- Knowledge of community resources and agencies an asset.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a household with children.
- Experience advocating for or supporting vulnerable populations is considered an asset.
- Current Alberta Health Services (AHS) recommended immunizations, verified prior to employment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
This is a grant-funded position to March 31, 2027, with the possibility of a three-year grant extension.
Compensation is $24.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience. This position does not include benefits.
The anticipated start date is August 26, 2026 or as soon as a suitable candidate is identified.
