Position Summary
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this position is responsible for overseeing the safety of swimmers attending the aquatic facilities.
Duties include:
- Monitoring activities
- Enforcing safety rules
- Administering first aid
- Performing rescues
- Providing assistance to the public.
Othe responsibilities include:
- Responding to inquiries in person and over the phone
- Cashiering services
- Maintenance and Janitorial duties throughout the Aquaplex.
Education and Experience
- NAtional Lifeguard Certificate
- First Aid/CPR Certificates
- Swim Instructor would be an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management
- Strong computer skills
*Applicants over the age of 18 years old must be able to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
Employment Category: Casual Lifeguard
Hours per Week: Scheduled on an as needed basis. Shifts vary between morning, days, evenings and weekends.
Pay Scale: $18.91-$22.36
Benefits: As per the Town's HR Policy and CUPE 4604 Collective Bargaining Agreement
