The Town of Drumheller is seeking to fill two (2) Permanent Part-time Lifeguard positions at the Aquaplex.
Position Summary: Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this position is responsible for life guarding supervision of the public and providing a safe, clean, professional and friendly environment to ensure that pool patrons have a positive aquatic experience.
Education and Experience: Depending on the level of experience, all applicants must have their National Lifeguard or Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate as well as First Aid/CPR Certificates. Water Safety Course/Swim Instructor would be an asset, but is not a requirement. Candidates with excellent communication and positive interpersonal skills; time management and computer skills and knowledge of aquatics programming principles are encouraged to apply.
*Must be able to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check as well as a Vulnerability Check
Hours per Week: Minimum 22.50 hours per week on a rotating schedule which will include morning, days, evenings and weekends.
Pay Scale: $18.40 - $21.76 (2024) $18.91 - $22.36 (2025)
Benefits: This position is eligible for benefits as per the Town’s HR Policy and CUPE 4604 Collective Bargaining Agreement
