Member Engagement &Communications Coordinator
The Drumheller & District Chamber of Commerce is seeking an enthusiastic, relationship-focused, and highly organized Member Engagement & Communications Coordinator to join our team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, creating engaging communications, coordinating events and supporting the success of local businesses. As the primary contact for membership services, you will playa key role in recruiting, engaging and retaining Chamber members while promoting the Chamber’s programs, events and initiatives through strategic communications.
Working closely with the Executive Director and the Chamber team, you will help strengthen our business community by delivering exceptional member experiences and supporting the Chamber’s strategic priorities.
What You Will Do:
- Build strong relationships with Chamber members through regular business outreach and engagement
- Develop and implement membership recruitment, onboarding, engagement and retention strategies
- Coordinate member recognition initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance member value
- Lead the planning and delivery of Chamber programs, networking events, and business initiatives
- Develop and execute the Chamber’s communications strategy, including social media, e-newsletters, website content, promotional materials and member communications
- Manage and maintain the Chamber’s membership database, ensuring accurate records and reporting
- Monitor membership trends and prepare reports to support organizational planning
- Collaborate with the provincial and national Chambers to promote value-added programs to the members
- Provide administrative and project support to Chamber committees and special initiatives
- Assist with general Chamber operations and provide administrative support to the Chamber, World’s Largest Dinosaur and Visitor Information Centre as required
What We Are Looking For:
- Diploma or degree in business administration, communications, marketing or a related field
- 2+years relevant work experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with members, volunteers, community partners and stakeholders
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Self-motivated, adaptable and able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Experience creating digital communications and managing social media platforms
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with CRM or membership management software
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License

Position: Full-time permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pmwith occasional evenings and/or weekends to support Chamber events and programs
Compensation: $25-$27.50/hour based on qualifications and experience
