Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Certification as an Operating Room Technician (ORT). 1-2 years current scrub/ circulatory experience within a Surgical suite. Current experience is defined as working in a OR setting within the past 2 years. Ability to collaborate within the expectations of an integrated team. Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills integrating critical thinking and good judgment. Ability to demonstrate communications skills that promote respect and a positive team environment. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and perform repetitive movements for the duration of your shift. Physically capable to lift, push and pull up to 20 lbs of force.
