What you’ll do:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to lead our Home & Agro Centre in Drumheller, AB. This role is a combination of leadership, financial oversight, customer service excellence, and operational management. You’ll be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, optimizing store performance, and maintaining a positive team culture. You will also play a key role in developing customer relationships and driving sales growth.
As the Store Manager, you will oversee the following:
- Leadership & Team Development: Lead and manage a team of associates, focusing on performance management, talent development, and fostering a people-first culture. Drive engagement and career growth by providing coaching, training, and support to your team.
- Sales & Client Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with both new and existing clients, including providing estimates for building projects and coordinating special orders with outside vendors. Look for sales opportunities through customer interactions, outside sales, and site visits.
- Operations & Safety: Ensure that daily operations are safe, efficient, and in alignment with our Health and Safety program. Monitor inventory, ordering, deliveries, and general merchandising to maintain a high store image and operational standards.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the store’s financial performance, including sales, margins, expenses, and inventory. Review financial statements regularly to identify areas for improvement and work with your team to implement strategies to increase sales and profitability.
- Customer Service Excellence: Deliver exceptional service to members and guests, upholding our “You’re at Home Here” philosophy. Provide knowledgeable advice on general and complex building projects, and assist customers with finding the right products and solutions for their needs.
- Vendor Coordination & Inventory Management: Work closely with outside vendors to coordinate inventory orders and ensure accurate delivery and product availability. Oversee the ordering process and manage inventory to meet customer demands efficiently.
- Administrative & Miscellaneous Duties: Handle administrative tasks such as sales tracking, invoicing, claims, and ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and on time.

Who you are:
We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven leader with a passion for exceptional service, sales, and team development. The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in retail or the building materials industry.
- Experience in managing sales , client relationships , and vendor coordination .
- Strong knowledge of financial performance management , including sales analysis, inventory, margins, and expenses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to lead, coach, and inspire a team.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining high operational standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- A valid Class 5 driver’s license is required.
- Willingness to undergo a Criminal Record Background Check .
- This is a full-time position, the successful candidate must have the ability to work evenings, days, and weekends.
