The right candidate will have a strong attention to detail, positive attitude and have the ability to follow a concise direction and work independently.

Job Summary
Valley Brewing is now recruiting for a full-time Brewer's Assistant to report to the Head Brewer.
Responsibilities and Duties
Wort Production
- Milling
- Mashing/Lautering
- Boiling / Kettle additions
- Graining out
- Knocking out
- Brewhouse/heat exchanger CIP
- Accurately and precisely following recipe/procedures
- Recipe development and record keeping
Operations
- Yeast management
- Beer transferring
- Fining
- Carbonating
- CIP for brite tanks and fermenters per brewery procedures
- Maintains a spotless brewery
- Keeps brewery equipment organized
- Keg cleaning
- Ordering raw materials
- Kegging/canning beer
- Inventory of raw material
- Inventory of packaged product
- Inventory of warehouse product
- Brewing schedule management
Miscellaneous
- Weekly filling/organizing of the tasting room cooler
- Line cleaning in the tasting room
- Deliveries of product within the Town of Drumheller with minimal deliveries throughout the Calgary region
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Brewing or distilling-related education and/or previous experience in a brewery or distillery is preferred
- The successful candidate must be a strong team player
- Strong organizational skills
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving abstract
- Alberta ProServe certification
- Basic mechanical knowledge (i.e. pumps and valves)
