Position Overview
Sweet Home Boutique & Café is seeking a friendly, detail‑oriented Café Associate to join our team. This role focuses primarily on café operations, excellent customer service, and light food preparation. The ideal candidate brings a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a passion for creating a welcoming customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide warm, attentive customer service
- Prepare light food items such as sandwiches and café menu items
- Operate a point‑of‑sale (POS) system accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the café area
- Support daily café operations as needed
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Previous café, barista, or food service experience (asset, not required)
- Strong attention to detail and customer‑focused mindset
- Basic culinary skills (food prep, assembling menu items)
- Ability to learn and operate a POS system
Additional Helpful Skills (Not Required but an Asset)
Candidates with any of the following may have the opportunity to expand their role and grow into a full‑time position:
- Retail or boutique experience
- Bookkeeping knowledge
- Food Safety certification
- Social media skills or marketing experience
