Term Seasonal Community Pasture Position Available April through October 2025
- Hourly rates starting at $22.7341 depending upon experience and education
- In addition to regular wages, wage employees receive
- 5.2 percent of regular wage earnings instead of paid holidays
- 6 percent of regular wage earnings instead of annual vacation pay
- 40-hour work week – Saturday/Sunday availability may be required

Enjoy a challenging and rewarding seasonal position that will have you working outside in Special Areas during the late spring and summer months at the Special Areas Board Community Pastures.
Description: Key Duties will include:
- Support community pasture staff with fence installation/repair, water line installation/repair, corral and building maintenance/repair and general assistance
- Operate machinery and power equipment used in the operation of agricultural duties
- Delivering the Special Areas Safety Program and all reporting requirements
- Other related duties as required
Requirements:
- Experience operating agricultural farm equipment with previous fencing experience desirable
- Strong mechanical abilities and experience maintaining equipment is an asset
- Must be able to work independently
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Operator’s License
- Physical capabilities to perform job duties - required lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs
- Ability to communicate effectively using courtesy, tact and discretion and use good judgement
Important Considerations for Applicants
- This is a designated safety sensitive position and mandatory pre-employment drug testing will be conducted on all newly hired employees
- This position will be working outside completing fieldwork in rural-remote areas, in all weather conditions
- Overtime and/or weekend work may be expected as a part of this role
