We are presently looking for a couple of new staff members for this year’s season.

The positions are called part time but the hours worked will fluctuate based upon the work that must be done at the time.

The hours worked are normally from 9am to 4:30 Monday through Friday but the actual days of the week worked will be scheduled with the other part time staff members.

Once we open for sales (7 days a week) there will be a requirement for weekend work, again as scheduled to ensure everyone shares the responsibility of providing sales coverage.

The work conditions vary depending upon the phase of the season we are in.

During the early phase, up to opening day, the work mostly consists of transplanting plugs and seedlings and taking care of the transplanted flowers.

You must be able to work in the heat and be on your feet for the majority of the day.

There is some lifting of heavy planters and bags of soil but help usually close by if required.

You will be exposed to lots of sunlight.

During the sales phase, you will need to take care of the customers requirements, keep the inventory on the floor stocked up and handle sales counter duties.

A passion for plants, gardening and landscaping are very desirable skills to have for these positions.

Work will start in mid march and run through to the first week or so of June. Compensation will be determined based upon your relevent experience.
