Heavy Haul Truck Driver

Position Details

CAPE Manufacturing is looking for a self-motivated Heavy Haul Truck Driver to join our team in a rural community.

Reporting to the Facility Manager, the successful candidate’s duties include but are not limited to:

• Operate trucks and equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Must be able to operate a tractor/trailer unit in rural and city traffic.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspection to ensure mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order.
• Maintain daily logs, inspection logs and other necessary paperwork.
• Loading, securing, and transporting various types of heavy equipment.
• Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored.
• Advise the Facility Manager of any requirements for maintenance or repairs.
• Participate in routine maintenance.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Halkirk, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• Class 1 license (clean abstract) and airbrake endorsement (REQUIRED)
• Oilfield Heavy Haul experience (REQUIRED)

Work Location: Based at the Halkirk, AB shop – travel province wide as needed.
