OPERATOR 2 Job Opening at the Alix Malthouse
JOB SUMMARY
Rahr Corporation (Rahr) is a family-owned global leader in the production and distribution of barley malt and related brewing supplies in operation since 1847. In support of long-term growth and sustainability, the Operator 2 works in coordination with the Operations and Maintenance teams to maintain optimum plant efficiency. As an active contributor, an Operator 2 works across all teams and production lines to manufacture top quality malt in a safe working environment while balancing quality and productivity.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Previous experience in a similar plant and production manufacturing role.
Previous malting, brewing, or grain handling experience desired.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Routinely manually lifts parts, equipment, and other objects exceeding 25 lbs/11 kgs.
Occasionally needs to manually lift or move 100 lbs/45 kgs.
Often is in contact with dust, heat, cold and chemicals.
Regularly required to stand, walk, and be on your feet for most of a shift.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Moderate noise level in the work environment, hearing protection is available.
