Respite Worker Needed – Tuesday Afternoons/Evenings
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and energetic Respite Worker to support a friendly and active 10-year-old child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Schedule:
Tuesday afternoons/evenings
Hours to be discussed with the successful candidate
Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support and supervision
Facilitate safe and engaging community outings and recreational activities
Encourage social interaction, independence, and skill development
Ensure the child's safety and well-being at all times
Maintain open communication with parents/caregivers
Qualifications:
Experience working with children, preferably those with autism or other developmental disabilities
Patient, positive, and dependable
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Comfortable accompanying the child on community outings
Requirements:
Clean Driver's Abstract
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
Current First Aid/CPR certification is considered an asset
Compensation:
Competitive wage based on experience and qualifications
