Have you ever wanted to spend some time working in the tiny arts village of Rosebud? With a population of less than 100, Rosebud is one-hour north-east of Calgary and is nestled in the Rosebud River valley. Home to the famous Rosebud Theatre, this little hamlet normally draws 35,000 - 40,000 people each year to its theatre productions, including music, great food, warm hospitality, and fabulous stories! Reporting to the Hospitality Manager, this position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to all guests, visitor and staff. We serve a delicious buffet meal for Rosebud Theatre guests, a Coffee Bar is open on show days, and additional service for special events. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Table service for a buffet meal.
  • Ability to memorize a beverage menu and communicate it with confidence.
  • Prepare and serve beverages.
  • Assist patrons with special requests.
  • Clearing, cleaning and resetting dining rooms.
  • High attention to detail, and the ability to work in a high pressure environment.
  • Follow safe food handling policies.
  • Protecting company assets and ensure uniform and pesonal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Support positive workplace culture and support your team to reach common goals.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other departments.
  • Flexibility during a shift to assist with other duties such as seating, ushering in the theatre, cleaning, singing with dinner musician, assisting with inventory, bartender or barista.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to offer friendly and professional customer service
  • Willingness to learn on the job
  • Proserve and WHMIS Certification is required
  • First Aid Certification is an asset but not required
  • Previous serving experience is an asset
  • Bartending and Barista skills are an asset
