The Town of Stettler is looking to fill the full time position of Shop Mechanic. This position is based on a 40 hour work week with the need for overtime/weekend work during emergent situations.
Under the direction of the Transportation Foreman you will repair and service all types of mobile and stationary equipment, maintain the inventory of all shop tools and equipment, keep accurate records of all equipment, ensure safety regulations are met and maintained for both equipment and maintenance procedures, work within OH&S Act and Regulations and Town Safe Work Practices and keep the shop in an overall tidy and clean state. Applicants must be a journeyman automotive or heavy duty mechanic. You are physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects.
