Activity Specialist (Casual)

The Town of Drumheller is seeking customer-centric, creative and enthusiastic individuals to fill several Casual Activity Specialist positions at the Badlands Community Facility.

Position Summary

As an Activity Specialist, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all visitors. You’ll provide outstanding customer service both in person and over the phone, ensuring guests feel supported and informed.

Your responsibilities include keeping the facility—including the fitness center, lobby, and conference spaces—clean and inviting. Additionally, you’ll assist with setting up and taking down equipment for various activities, meetings, and events while offering on-site support to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Previous experience with handling of cash, an asset
  • Must have a valid First Aid and CPR certificate or willing to obtain once hired
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs and be physically able to safety set up and take down required equipment
  • Previous experience working with events and/or sound equipment, an asset

Employment Category: Casual Activity Specialist

Hours per Week: Vary / Flexible - include evenings and weekends

Pay Scale: $18.34 to $22.36, dependant upon experience

Benefits: As per the Town’s HR Policy and CUPE 4604 Collective Bargaining Agreement
