Administrative Assistant IV - District Office Hanna (Term Position)

Term Position Admin IV – March to May 15, 2025

  • Wage (hourly) range $26.4461 - $32.3528 depending upon experience, training and education
  • 36.25-hour work week (Monday through Friday 8:15 am to 4:30 pm) – occasional overtime may be required

Workplace: Special Area No. 2 District Office, Hanna

The Special Areas Board is seeking a temporary full-time employee for the Hanna District Office. Reporting to the District Office Manager, this role focuses on delivering excellent customer service to ratepayers while supporting the daily operations.

Description:

Key Duties:

  • Provide administrative support to the Special Area No. 2 Administrator, Office Manager, and Agricultural Fieldman.
  • Responsibilities include preparing reports, letters, and memos, processing invoices, collecting arrears, and providing backup reception support.
  • Assist in administering applications related to leases, land exchanges, permits, road construction, and hamlets.
  • Assist in the research and compilation of information for presentations, meetings, projects, etc. for the Administrator
  • Answer stakeholder and ratepayer phone/email enquires

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in business administration or legal assistant is considered an asset
  • 2+ years of Administration experience preferred
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of SharePoint and One Drive
  • First rate communication skills: written and verbal skills, strong public relation skills, organization abilities and proven attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and initiative
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work to meet tight deadlines
