Bistro Team Member (Seasonal)

As a Bistro Team Member, you’ll help create a memorable experience for every guest who walks through our doors. This role blends customer service, light food prep, and maintaining a clean, inviting space.

What You’ll Do

  • Greet guests and guide them through their visit
  • Take food and beverage orders with accuracy and enthusiasm
  • Prepare and serve menu items in a timely, friendly manner
  • Check in with guests to ensure they’re enjoying their experience
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and dining area
  • Communicate clearly with team members and leadership
  • Process payments and close out guest checks
  • Support daily opening, closing, and cleaning routines

Duties

  • Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, efficiently and accurately for transactions
  • Handle cash, process payments, and perform cashiering duties with attention to detail
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages, adhering to food safety standards
  • Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including food prep areas
  • Manage food handling responsibilities following health regulations
  • Support food preparation tasks such as assembling orders and stocking supplies
  • Ensure timely service by managing multiple tasks effectively through strong time management skills
  • Uphold food safety protocols to ensure quality and safety standards are met at all times

Experience

  • Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, including barista experience or serving roles
  • Familiarity with food handling procedures and food safety regulations
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
  • Experience with Micros POS or similar POS systems is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
  • Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience in food preparation or food service roles is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Drivers Licence and car an asset

Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
