Camp BCF Leader - Seasonal

Are you creative and have a passion for working with children? Then we invite you to join our Summer Camp Team!  

The Town of Drumheller is looking for Camp Leaders to support the BCF Summer Day Camps this summer!  

Position Summary: Reporting to the Camp Coordinator and the Recreation, Arts & Culture Program Coordinator, this position is responsible to assist in the day-to-day planning and implementation of the daily activities for children within the camps.  You will use your enthusiasm and love of children to ensure the days are fun, safe and engaging.

Qualifications:

This position is funded through the Canada Summer Job Grant program and therefore you must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment and have the following qualifications:  

  • Previous experience working with children, sports, and recreational activities would be considered assets
  • A passion for working with children and understanding of a variety of child learning needs
  • A clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
  • First Aid/CPR/AED
  • Driver’s license, preferred  

Employment Category: Summer Seasonal / Temporary  

Hours per Week: Approximately 40 Hours per week (Monday – Friday)  

Pay Scale: $18.34 - $22.36/hour (Activity Specialist – CUPE 4604)  

Start Date: June 23, 2025 End Date: August 29, 2025
