Position Summary:
Duties include assisting lifeguards in monitoring activities, enforcing safety rules, administering first aid, assisting in rescues, responsible for providing assistance to the public and responding to inquiries in person and over the phone at the Aquaplex. Responsible for cashiering services as well as performing maintenance and janitorial duties throughout the Aquaplex.
Education and Experience:
- Must be able to perform all duties with a minimum of supervision
- Must be able to work effectively with variable work loads and produce timely and accurate documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Bronze Cross and Intermediate First Aid certifications
Employment Category: Casual Lifeguard
Hours per Week: On an as needed basis. Shifts vary between morning, days, evenings and weekends.
Pay Scale: $17.81 - $21.79
Benefits: As per the Town’s HR Policy and CUPE 4604 Collective Bargaining Agreement
