Grain Farm Manager

Opportunityfor a results-focused individual to be accountable for all aspects of management for a 12,000-acre grain farm operation. This individual shall report directly to the GM and owner.

Responsibilities:

• ­Development of and implementing seasonal plans
• Liaise with landowners and crop share holders
• Procurement of Agri-products and inventory
• Lead, supervise and train team members
• Conduct performance and development reviews of team
• Ensure safety and efficiency in the workplace
• Forecast and prepare annual operating budgets
• Share equipment need & maintenance knowledge

Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of crop input and output
• Proven leadership, team building and interpersonal skills
• Fluent with computers
• Excellent organizational, communication and decision-making skills
• Experience in management
• Effectively coach and lead a team of diversified equipment operators
• Ability to work in unison with department leads
• Legally entitled to work in Canada

 Preferred:

• Diploma/Degreein Agribusiness &/or Business Admin
• Agronomy or CCA training, PAC/PDC Certification, C1 license
