The Opportunity:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role will be serving the community of POINTS WEST LIVING in STETTLER, ALBERTA.. The LPN is responsible for ensuring top resident care is a priority, with a high level of focus in time management.

- Ensuring that care is provided in accordance with nursing best practices, our Well-Being Strategies, quality improvement guidelines, and regulations
- Growing Clinical Mentor Care Partner skills to be effective advocates for the Residents in helping them achieve the highest practicable physical, mental, and spiritual well-being possible
- Performs duties and services required, and Supports the Resident’s lifestyle in accordance with the Resident’s individualized Care Plan as authorized by Homecare
- Provides medication assistance to the Residents, according to current Well-Being Strategies
- Mentors and delegates nursing tasks to Care Partners as per accepted practice standards and Wellness Strategies
- Identifies health, safety or maintenance issues, and reports as required
- Ongoing monitoring and continuous quality improvement and adherence to safe work practices
- Provide impartial support and excellent relationship building skills to nurture, understand, and respect residents, families, visitors, and external Care Partners to ensure the vibrancy of our community
- Liaising with Doctors, Pharmacists, Homecare Nurse, Manager, families, and any other people required to facilitate the highest care for the Resident
- Participates in ongoing educational programs to update knowledge on applicable topics
- Attains and maintains ongoing compliance with appropriate local, provincial, and federal regulatory standards
Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from:
- Must be a graduate of a recognized LPN program
- Must be registered and in good standing with their related Licensing Body (CLPNA)
- Must hold valid certification in First Aid and CPR
- Prior to employment, obtain a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector check
