The Paraplanner will be an aide for the CFP, assisting in financial planning, insurance, tax, and estate matters while upholding the client experience, from onboarding to maintaining communication with Helm. This role is crucial in establishing and nurturing client relationships. The ability to learn and utilize relationship-building skills will help you succeed in this role.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
- Attend meetings with senior planner to capture key notes and action items.
- Draft professional correspondence, presentations, and other materials.
- Manage scheduling, communications, and administrative tasks, including email, phone, and CRM updates.
- Maintain flexibility for occasional travel to support client and business needs.
Client Support:
- Delivering exceptional service and ensure a seamless client experience across all engagements.
- Collaborate with clients and their trusted advisors.
- Coordinate client onboarding, prepare for client meetings, and provide follow-up support. Maintain and update the CRM software to track leads and stages in client engagements.
Planning Support:
- Provide comprehensive financial planning assistance.
- Monitoring actionable recommendations and solutions to help clients achieve their financial goals.
- Utilize Excel and financial planning software.
- Assist in the development of client-facing documents. Support insurance administration and underwriting processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in administrative or client-facing roles within the financial sector is considered an asset (banking, services, insurance, wealth management, real estate, etc.)
- Experience using financial planning and CRM software, additional experience in cybersecurity or IT-related work considered an asset.
- Proficient Excel skills, including the use of basic and advanced functions, as well as the ability to interpret bank statements, use mortgage calculators, and financial models.
- Organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, paired with high emotional intelligence and a client-focused attitude.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships, foster trust, and provide excellent service in a fast-paced, professional environment.
