Location: Dalum, Alberta (20 minutes south of Drumheller)
Alanna Farms Ltd. is a modern crop production operation dedicated to highly-quality farming practices. We are currently seeking a skilled Seasonal Agricultural Worker to assist with the upcoming season.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have experience in operating and maintaining agricultural equipment, a mechanical mindset, and a valid Class 1 driver's license. This position invloves running newer Bourgault seeders during seeding, Case Quadtracs and combines during harvest, and high clearance sprayers as part of day-to-day operations. Knowledge of the local area is an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain large-scale farm equipment, including Bourgault seeders, Case Quadtracs, combines, and high-clearance sprayers.
- Perform minor mechanical repairs and maintenance to ensure equipment runs smoothly.
- Assist with seeding, harvesting, crop spraying, and other fieldwork as needed.
- Haul crops and supplies using Class 1 vehicles.
- Support general farm tasks, including yard and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating large agricultural machinery.
- MEchanical aptitude for diagnosing and repairing basic equipment issues.
- Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
- Knowledge of the local area is an asset.
- Willingness to work long hours during peak season, including weekends.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work in a team environment.
